Orientation Week is packed with academic and social events to get you geared up for university. When you're not attending a session you can chill out in the student lounge area, catch up with friends and participate in games and other activities.

Everyone is invited to try two weeks of free classes and free access to the gym all week between 6am and 9pm. Registrations required.

Meet your fellow students and make new friends at our speed-friending sessions held Tuesday - Thursday at 12.30pm in the Breezeway during O Week! Similar to speed-dating, it will give you the chance to meet lots of people, including the CDU Student Ambassadors, in a fun and fast way.

You will get one minute to talk to other students before the bell rings and then you move onto the next friend.

Everyone's invited to the welcome breakfast that kicks off the Orientation program. Collect your O Week program, student diary and show bag, and then join in the fun and games including Breakfast Bingo, to win great prizes. This is a great chance to meet our staff and make friends with other students.

Get activated

Before you start with your studies, there are a few important steps you need to complete. In these guided sessions you will:

  1. activate your student account (you must know your student number)
  2. log into My Student Info to enrol in your chosen units
  3. log into your computer account to refresh your account and confirm your activated status
  4. access your student email account
  5. get your student card from Student Central (you must produce ID e.g. drivers license or passport to get your student card).


  • Steps 1 - 4 can also be completed online.
  • Assistance with enrolment and student cards is also available during normal Student Central operating hours.

Indigenous Knowledge's and Learning Showcase
(Includes lunch sponsored by the Office of Indigenous Leadership)

The Office of Indigenous Leadership invites all students to explore a range of interactive displays including arts, music, dance performances, workshops and tours showcasing state-of-the-art technology and facilities available to CDU students.

Students will also have the chance to learn more about the School of Indigenous Knowledge's and Public Policy (SIKPP) and available indigenous knowledge elective units which contribute towards their degrees.
